Snowpult was an entry for the Epic Games Megajam in 2020.
The theme for this gamejam was "It's been a long time but we're not done yet", as the game progresses the seasons would change and the objective was to fling snowballs at targets within the time limits.
I started with creating the gameplay systems early on in Blueprint and went on to create the VFX and materials needed.

IES Light profiles | Epic Permanently free collection
The IES Light profiles and Function pack was published in 2016 and contains a variety of IES light profiles and light function materials to provide a diverse and dynamic set of effects for use in scenes.
Epic Games shortly after reached out to add the pack to the Permanently free collection on the unreal marketplace and has been a popular download ever since.
The shield and Health System was made as a componentized object which allows for rapid implementation of actor health and shields.
I created a variety of items which plugged in such as health pack, triggers to instant recharge shields and damage testing with a flexible UI Widget to display current states.

The VFX series asset packs were created in Unreals Cascade particle editor and aimed to provide a broad range of visual effects ranging from projectiles, lightning to Sci-Fi Wormholes.
There have been two entries with the first one including a testing range where the projectiles could be easily updated to give unique effects.
Created during my research and development time in getting used to Unreal engine 5, The Selection highlight asset pack is aimed towards providing a quick method of implementing selection highlights and also multi object selection through use of a selection box.
I used a combination of Niagara and Blueprinting to create this modern looking visual effect which resembles the kinds seen in many AAA titles in recent years.

The Shield Materials pack was made using a combination of custom noise masks, material graphs and post processing.
This pack allows for a massive amount of customization to achieve a number of different stylized effects ranging from actor local shields, scanning to through wall highlights.
